Chase Elliott drives the No. 9 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports, the same car number his father, Bill Elliott, carried for much of his career that culminated with him being inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Elliott's most recent Cup win came at Texas Motor Speedway in May 2026. Elliott won his first Cup Series championship in 2020, his fifth full season in Cup, by capturing his fifth win of the season at Phoenix Raceway. In all, he has 23 career Cup Series wins. Elliott also has one All-Star race victory, which came in the 2020 NASCAR All-Star Race at Bristol Motor Speedway, and also took home the 2025 Cook Out Clash honors at Bowman Gray Stadium. Elliott was named the Most Popular Driver in the Cup Series in 2018-2025, an honor his father won 16 times. Elliott became the first rookie to win a NASCAR national division championship when he captured the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series title in 2014. He has six O'Reilly Auto Parts Series wins and three in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
